How to check your Xbox 360 Kernel or Dashboard Version

Follow these steps to check your Xbox 360 kernel version:

  1. Power on your system.
  2. Scroll to the "System Settings" screen.
  3. Select "Console Settings".
  4. Scroll down to "System Info".

    You will see your kernel version at the top or bottom of this page. It will display something similar to this:
    D:2.0.13599.0 - K:2.0.13599.0 (BK:2.0.1888.0) X:4A7A-FFF1-E816-1538

    Your kernel or dashboard version is the 4 digit number after K:2.0. In this case, the kernel version is 13599.
