Does your Wii suffer from a blank or black screen? Did you brick your Wii while messing with IOS files or installing a system update?

The Wii can become bricked during an update or when attempting to modify the Wii and/or system files. The blank screen issue can also be caused by a failed hardware, in which case it can always be repaired.

The Wii blank screen issue can be repaired if it meets any one of the following criteria:

  • Your Wii was not modified in any way but suddenly stopped displaying video and just comes up to a blank screen.

    or

  • You can get to the Health and Safety Screen but no further.

    or

  • You have a backup of your NAND chip from before it bricked. It will be a file called nand.bin and is 528 MB in size. By default, it is copied to the main directory on your SD card when you run the backup option after installing BootMii.

    or

  • Your Wii must have a vulnerable boot1 (boot1a or boot1b only) version in order to install BootMii into the boot2 bootloader. If you are not sure of this, please submit your Wii serial number (located on the back of the Wii and begins with LU) via the contact form by clicking here and we will let you know if it can be fixed.

    There is no warranty on this repair, since it is normally caused by user error or misuse, unless of course the underlying cause is hardware failure, in which case a 90 day warranty is applied to the corresponding part.
